A yearly program which offers soccer clinics to children ages 4 to 16 years old. The program is designed to use soccer as vehicle to create a positive environment , to provide hope and  to engage  children. Soccer as a sport requires discipline ,strength, creativity, teamwork, problem solving  ability, endurance , communication skills, leadership mindset, etc. all of which are critical when solving issues. By having all these skills, our soccer clinics participants are halfway there in their ability to address social and economic issues experience in third world countries.

The organization collects used/new soccer equipment such as soccer balls, shoes/cleats, uniforms and soccer training equipment from various donors and friends of the Elykia foundation. These items are given to the Elykia soccer clinics participants. Participants of the program learn basics soccer skills, organize  local tournaments and competitive soccer games to enhance their knowledge of the sport and their skills. In addition to soccer training, daily meals are provided to allow kids to stay healthy not only physically but mentally as well.

HISTORY

The idea of Elykia Foundation was born in the summer of 2012 when our founder participated in a mission trip to Petit-Goave, Haiti. The purpose of the trip was to provide health care to a remote area where medical attention was lacking. Even though the trip's aim was to support sick people, there were a great number of healthy kids around playing soccer barefoot with soccer balls made out of trash bags. From that moment on, the idea of Elykia Foundation was born.

  • We have been providing soccer clinics every summer since 2013

  • We provided free soccer equipment (most of it donated by our supporters)

  • We have  250 kids in Haiti  enrolled in our programs

  • We have provided education scholarships to 10 kids and hoping to grow that number with your help

  • Our presence is only in Haiti at the moment but we are planning to expand to other countries within the next 5 years (DR-Congo, Colombia, and Brazil)
